Synchro is meant for accessibility. Synchro is one of the few sports with programs explicitly designed to support and encourage athletes with disabilities (AWD). There are two streams within Ontario; cognitive disabilities and physical disabilities. Within these categories there are also different skill levels to advance through.

Durham Synchro is one of the provinces club encouraging the development of AWD programming within our sport. It builds confidence and self-esteem, strength and stamina for those with disabilities. We offer one-on-one coaching catering to the individual needs and abilities of each athlete.

Competitive AWD Programs

Competitve swimmers train from September to May and work on development of advanced skills as well as creating a choreographed routine. They can then participate in meets and watershows, as desired. This year our competitive AWD program saw plenty of success with multiple podium placings throughout the season. This year our national coach, Meagan Caulfield will be leading this program to success.
