Our competitive program has been highly successful with numerous awards and titles acquired each year by our athletes and coaches. We are proud to offer both a provincial stream and national stream.

Team placement takes place each year in the spring. Durham Synchro has competitive teams for swimmers ages 6 to 99. Our training includes strength and flexibility training, dance skills, swimming stroke improvement, routine choreography skills, team bonding events, skill camps, synchro figures and synchro routine skills.

2015 Hilton Invitational

Synchro Swim Ontario hosted the 2015 Hilton Worldwide Synchronized Swimming Invitational meet, April 16-19 in Etobicoke.

Over 900 athletes coaches and officials were present for Canada's largest synchronized swimming routine-only invitational competition.

  • Abby Lewis and Niah Marshall - 6th place 11-12 Duet
  • Niah Marshall - 5th place 11-12 Solo
  • 11-12 Team (Holley/Kirsten) - 3rd place Team

2015 US Nationals

Congratulations to the Junior FINA Team on their accomplishments at the U.S. Nationals in California, March 31 - April 04.

The team finished 12th in routine, Julie Donelle and Sam Low placed 29th in duet and Melanie Donelle placed 16th in her solo. It was a new and exciting experience to compete in the US. All routines produced high scores. Feedback from competitors and spectators was positive, they commented on how different and interesting our routines were.

"Competing at US Nationals in California was a great experience. I got to meet up with, and compete against, my old American friends. Laying on the beach in Santa Cruz and sightseeing around San Francisco was a great bonus!"

2015 National Qualifier

Congratulations to the 13-15 team on a great swim at the Canadian Championships Qualifier in Victoria, British Columbia. The team placed 19th with their "Chase" routine.

Our JR FINA team had a great swim finishing 11th in routine and were 6th in combined figure scores!

Julie Donelle and Sam Low achieved an 18th place finish in duets and Melanie Donelle came 16th in Jr. Solo.

Great job representing Durham Synchro across Canada!


2015 East Regionals

Durham Synchro showed a strong performance at the 2015 East Regionals competition in Ottawa, March 7-8. The teams had a great time cheering one another on and demonstrating how much their hard work has paid off.

2015 Leslie Taylor Provincial Championships

The Junior FINA and 13-15 National Teams competed at the Leslie Taylor Provincial Championships held in Waterloo, February 7-8, 2015.

2015 Waterloo Invitational


12UA Team had a FANTASTIC day at the Waterloo Invitational on January 24, 2015 and placed 2nd in the team competition! The girls also brought home medals in the solo and duet categories!

Durham Synchro Provincial Teams and National Teams competed in the Lisa Alexander & Provincial Qualifier competition at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, January 17-18, 2015.

  • Megan Gomes - 5th place 11-12 figures
  • Melanie Donelle - 7th place Jr. FINA figures

The 11-12 team was lucky to meet Pachi the Pan Am Games mascot!

After months of grueling practices and evaluations, she successfully earned herself a position on the 2015 Canada Winter Games Team that will be representing Ontario at the Games in Prince George, BC February 21st to March 1st. For more information about the Canada Winter Games visit
